Fettercairn Distillery is a whisky distillery located in the eastern Highlands of Scotland. It was established in 1824 and has been producing high-quality single malt Scotch whisky for nearly 200 years.

Sir Alexander Ramsay is the founder of Fettercairn Whisky Distillery. He was the one to get the licensed for the Fettercairn Distillery to be opened. He was a sharp-witted businessman and recruited illegal whisky makers to be his first still men. Later on Ramsay’s Fasque estate was sold to Gladstone family. Family of the famous British Prime minister William Gladstone. Gladstone abolished taxes on malt and introduced Scotch whisky to be sold in glass bottles. Queen Victoria and her husband Albert likes to dined in the local village pub at the Ramsay Arms in secret. Later on the villagers commemorate the visit by building a monument in the centre of the village known locally as the Fettercairn Arch, pictured below,
